Vigils remembering those killed when a group of Taliban gunmen stormed an army school in Peshawar, Pakistan, have taken place around the world, from Canada to Tanzania and Sri Lanka.
After the horrific Taliban attack on a military-run school in Peshawar that killed more than hundred and thirty students, a controversial cleric refused to condemn the massacre, sparking protests.
"Yes, I am Indian. So what? The pain of losing a child is universal. #IndiawithPakistan"
Protesters are demanding a stronger government response. Absent effective government measures, however, Bangladesh will have to keep relying on civil society and volunteers in this environmental disaster.
People in Bangladesh often cross busy roads by stepping into traffic, rather than using the crosswalks built for pedestrians. This behavior is both a public safety and a traffic hazard.
