Diego, have a look at Pacific Developers properties. I bought my apartment after seeing a friends apartment by them.

Mine is in Punta Pacific & I am very happy, great layout, finishings and social areas. I don’t have any complaints, even have great neighbors.

They have properties available all over Panama including Costa del Este & San Fransisco.

  • If you have any interest in the western slope of the Azuero Peninsula (a relatively undiscovered stretch of paradise), feel free to contact me at http://www.thepanamacollection.com and I’ll do everything I can to help you out. You need to be very careful when dealing with agents in the area, but I have developed some very trustworthy contacts and I can help you navigate through the minefield.

  • If you want to invest in Panama or any other Central American country and you intend on using an agent, make sure you do your homework. Any decent agent will be able to put you in contact with their previous customers for a reference. This is a good place to start. Avoid agents that do not have office, real estate licenses or any references.

  • […] Diego Montes Can anybody tell me if the prices doesnt seem a little bit high for LA? http://www.arcoproperties.com/home.aspx Patrizia Actually, if you are asking about prices for historic (source) cities, Panama isnt expensive at all compared to its peers. Check out my article here about historic centers and the potential of Casco Antiguo, Panama. It is called 5 Lessons From Real Estate in Europe: http://www.arcoproperties.com/blogs/main/PermaLink,guid,57f30a5e-bd4a-45d3-b364-f2cdeef0a58b.aspx Diego Montes Patrizia, are you actually saying that Panama is comparable to Rome? I mean, Casco Antiguo is really pretty, dont get me wrong, but it seems a little out there to compare it with Rome Anyways, I wanted to know about the price regarding the city, like San Francisco, Punta Paitilla, Costa del Este, etc. Can you help me with this ? http://www.arcoproperties.com/home.aspx Patrizia The point of the comparison is to show the path that all historic cities near cosmopolitan centers (or that become themselves in the case of Rome a cosmopolitan center) go through and that at the end of the day they become twice as valuable than the new cities which can be replicated. It is the same path whether we are talking about Cartagena, San Juan or Rome. Of course, Rome is the perfect example because it has gone so well and because it is so authentic. Casco Viejo has a lot to learn from it, but in its own scale and with Panamas advantages in the Central American region there isnt a reason why it couldnt walk the same walk. Of course, as you point out, it is all a matter of scale and proportion. But the best of Casco Viejo isnt that it is a pretty place. It is a historic city, unique, protected, at a human scale, with more than 200 years of history and a huge potential on developing value through many angles.
