Still waiting (updating below) for more details, but Qik.com vlogger Noel Hidalgo is at the scene and giving updates via Twitter. Here's a video he took just a few minutes ago not far from the Olympic bird's nest:
Noel has just finished uploading a second video, in which he reports that Chinese firemen have taken down one protester and one appears to be coming down the other pole; no sign of the third protester who was stationed on the ground as seen in the clip above:
Tweet timeline (Beijing time):

When I found not a single post on major websites is about the attack,and no comments from common people, I had to give up. We are mostly silenced. (Or i dig not deeply enough)
Does anyone know what’s happening to them?
The human rights issues being raised while the world turns its eye on China is just great! Finally! Why the games are there is another story…Thanks – hot topics! It is about religious freedom for the Tibetans and I think that is why the standard has been raised by so many concerned folks around the world.
@editor
They were deported, but treated pretty evenhandedly byt the Chinese authorities.
Their mum and dads are proud.

I wonder how would the American public and police force react if they scaled the Golden Gate or the Brooklyn Bridge with a pro-“bin laden” banner or something as equally provocative?
And the same with Big Ben and the UK.

You certainly are not a Christian to say such a hateful thing and concluding your diatribe, claiming Tibet for China is classic fiction. You do not make China look good with such a message.
God bless China and everone that embrace her. May the peace of God always reign and cover China and the chinese people everywhere. May the wrath of god be upon countries and nations that try to destroy china from inside out. may the wrath of god be upon irresponsible war hungry and money hungry media tycoons and politicians that try to disrupt the peace of china and the chinese people.
God Bless China !
