Peru: How the Media Handled the Allegations Against Toledo

A Peruvian Congressman made allegations against former President Alejandro Toledo that he was involved in a rape of a young woman. Even though subsequent contradictory statements from the alleged victim and witnesses have not proven that Toledo did or did not commit the crime, the Peruvian press was quick to cast judgment.
