It’s been pointed out to me that I should have clarified that the Oneworld Multimedia site is mine which I’ll do now. I haven’t done this on those occasions when I’ve linked to my posts because there are no others dealing with the same issue to keep in style with others, and also because there is a byline on this post as well as on the post linked to.
I’d also like to point out that I first tried to correct the inaccuracies in Paul Goble’s post by leaving a comment which he did not allow through even though it quoted the 2001 census for the number of Yezidis in Armenia and also to identify Tamoyan’s endorsement of the prime minister in next year’s presidential election as a figure from the ANTI-KURD side of the Yezidi community in Armenia.
Even links to further reading on the division in the Yezidi community in Armenia as well as the actual number of Yezidis in Armenia were not allowed through by Goble even though they were written politely and to engage discussion. Anyway, that’s why I wrote this post and I’d like to point out that I’ve been researching the Kurds since 1995 and the Yezidis in Armenia since 1998. I should have identified that the Oneworld Multimedia post was mine even though my name is on it.
Thought it would be obvious, but if not, sorry for any confusion.
