The national Chilean football team have managed to qualify for the round of 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil tournament after defeating Spain, the 2010 World Cup holder, at the legendary Maracanã stadium.
Chileans all over the country came out to celebrate even though the working day wasn't over. From Arica to Antarctica, we've compiled photos posted on Twitter using hashtags such as #EliminamosAlCampeónMundial (We eliminated the World Champion) and #LaRojaEsChilena (La Roja is Chilean), as ‘La Roja’ is not just Spanish but Chilean too because their national team's colour is also red.
