Addis Journal reports that Teddy Afro was been given a six-year sentence on Monday, convicted on two charges of killing a homeless in hit-and-run accident and driving away without reporting the incident. His arrest last April two years after the original incident captured nationwide interest, was filled with drama and inspired a petition for a fair and speedy trial.

Hey dizzy, I agree with your idea. Teddy did the crime and he never done any humanity for that person?. So six- year in jail for him is nothing.
Come on Martha! You know it’s not true! Teddy was on behalf of the poor people. You remember during the millennium he entertained the whole crowd who could not afford to enter the so called millennium hall for free. That was humanitarian. He has no guts to run with out help. That’s a white lie I guess. No evidence!!!!!

First of all I would like to inform u that I am a Somali and above all have a limited knowledge of Ethiopian politics except that its governenment seems a dictatorial regime for the mere fact that Melez (prime minister)’s been in power more than 15years. Coming back to the imprisonment of this young talented artist, I don’t think he is in prison for anything else other than a political one. It is a shame that he should spend his tender years behind bars instead making music and entertaining us all. My point is that they scared of him and see him as a threat instead as a national treasure. Shame on u Woyanes.
Ethiopia is full of conspiracy theory, what ever the government does it is politically motiviated. some of them are even funny saying Teddy was innocent as if they were monitering all his movements in life.
i think the argumnet against Teddy’s arrest is the one politically motivated.
Abdo:hi you now you are so funny you know what if it is politics they can shoot him in the head how hard is it going to be hard for the government? and also he said that he did not have driving licence, can you drive a car with out a licence in your country? i gusse you can drive only in Somali.
