Myanmar: Blood Diamonds and Myanmar

The movie Blood Diamond reminds blogger Man Actually of his younger mining days in Myanmar. “And being once a miner myself deep in the jungle far north Myanmar's very own Jade Mines, you guess! how this movie would be so special to me..Along with the Archer and Solomon, the whole week I was thinking and wondering about Dee Rum, Hong Hkong, my dear comrades, the miners and how they are doing? I have always wanted to write about my experience in the jade land but whenever I tried to start the story I felt mentally draining and lost in translation emotionally hence never been able to materialize the story.”

    Dear Nanda,

I’m not dealing with the military regime. My job is finding IT projects from S’pore and developing with myanmar programmers.

I want to do the best for my country with all of my effort. But I don’t want to always talk about our gov is bad or good. I wrote some comments in this site, because someone said BLOOD DIAMOND = MYANMAR. I can’t accept that.

    Thanks

Hi! Ma Nila, Middle path and U Toe Sein,

I totally agreed with you all and thanks for your posts. I feel the same way as Ma Nila. We only have to try to improve our country, not talking bad to the country that makes only bad image to our country.

    BLOOD DIAMOND = MYANMAR?

Haha.. Funny! I just can’t stop laughing. Those people are always makes me funny. All the news they produced are very funny. I can’t believe it.

I am from Myanmar. Living Peacefully, Traveling Peacefully. And I have many friends from the Gems Mines all across Myanmar. If you really wish to see the real situation of Mines, I’d glad to show you around.

And I am just a normal citizen. Having no trust in both Gov and the Politicians like all other citizen does. We just don’t care.

    P.S.
“My English is not so good”. I like to attend the English class with U Toe Sein :P

Hello there, Nilar, Toe Sein, Zeyar et al,

I thought of not debating in this site for two reasons.

The First and foremost reason is my thought of “The Code of Ethics” set by the moderator of this site seems weird to me by assuming me as having personal attack by using foul language etc. whereas I have no reason of whatsoever to do such funny thing of doing personal attack in words in the internet, which would produce no merit to me or to the other party. And, I have never known that the word “stupid” is foul language. The moderator may not like my this post too.

The second reason is because I thought it is not worth for me to debate with such people who are conceited that they are patriotic. Not daring to criticise the repressive military regime who has been doing every bad things against the interest of Burma and its people does not mean you are patriotic. It just means that you guys just believe in the saying of “DONT BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS”. You guys are just some of very few people who enjoy some favour of certain type given by the regime. There are less than 1 % of such lucky people in Burma. The rest 99% of Burmese suffer in their daily life for the MISMANAGEMENT of almost everything including ECONOMY being exercised by the military regime.

Now that what I would like to debate is …. What would be your comment on the regime’s latest action of raising the fuel prices from 100% upto 500% without even officially announcing such hike whilst their such action hits real hard on already very poor Burmese people’s lives.

    Regards,
    Nanda

  • Ok.. Nandar

Some of your points are right. But, I don’t have time to argue with you right now. later. ok?

In the “DONT BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS” part, you’ll be sorry to say that to us.

anyway.. you are a good talker.. like all the others (who do politic from foreign, :P ) be proud of it man!

    god bless and god speak.

    Hey everybody
I came across a few comments, but not enough time to go through all the comments.
I agree with those who say that Myanmmar country and Myanmar People are different things from the ruling people or from a lot of people who are now living outside the country and identify themselves most lucky and civilized. I dont agree.
Most Myannmar People are Buddhists, and as every one knows they wont even harm an inseect.
Of course that does not mean other Myanmars who profess other religions are less so.They too being Myanmars are gentle and kind.
Thats all I like to say, less said, better. Otherwise there are a lot of bitchy people who like to pounce on you like any predator.
