French Guiana: French or Brazilian?

Yesterday's Soccer World Cup match featuring Brazil was an eye-opener for Carnet de Guyane who blogs (Fr) from French Guiana: “Do I really live in France? (…) Since the beginning of the Cup, Brazilian flags are everywhere. (…) But today was worse. People dressed in yellow and green. Even I joined in.” She finds it interesting that the same fervor was not visible when France played earlier in the day.
