Word on the street, and in the sports columns, is that Brazil can’t beat Argentina this year, after losing 3-1 in a qualifying match. A lot of bad blood there: a Brazilian police captain emerged from the stands to arrest an Argentine player, during a ‘friendly’ between the two sides, for using a racial slur in reference to a Brazilian player.
Personally, I think the reunited triumvirate of Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Ronaldo and Roberto Carlos cannot and will not be stopped, whether they wear mesh jerseys or play in jeans and a U2 t-shirt and Converse All-Stars …
