Bahrain: Tweeps Dreaming of a Better Bahrain

This post is part of our special coverage of Bahrain Protests 2011.

On Saturday morning, a new hashtag appeared on the Bahrain Twittersphere and many tweeps expressed their hopes, dreams and highlighted their demands through #IdreamofaBH. As for the origin of the hashtag @Bahrainman explains it as:

@BahrainMan it started with @maryamalkhawaja going on a solo rant. Then @UmFahad had the smarts to actually do something & created #idreamofabh

.. and @ehsankooheji adds:

@ehsankooheji (#IdreamofaBH) hashtag today by @Umfahad based on responses by @RashidAlghatam to one sided statements by @maryamalkhawaja yesterday

The hashtag has become incredibly popular and lively with an incredible array of ideas from the political (anti-government and pro government alike), the funny, the sad to the down right geeky:

@Umfahad #idreamofaBH where people ask not what their country can do for them but what they can do for their country. #JFK #Bahrain

@iLandBahrain #idreamofaBH where people read and understand history books – not just Blackberry broadcasts and email forwards
