Will the worst conditions of global poverty be alleviated by 2015? The UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) are eight development aimed at improving chances of survival in the world's poorest countries. They were adopted in 2000 by all 193 UN member states but have not yet been met by all.
11Eleven Project

In 2011 Global Voices partnered with the 11Eleven Project to raise awareness about the MDGs. In November, on 11/11/11 we invited world citizens to help create a collaborative portrait of humanity with: photos, films, audio, and blog posts about this day. The 11Eleven project will turn these into a photo book, a music collection, and a film. We encouraged everyone to blog about “How I wish the world will be in 100 years” with emphasis on the important issues below. Please contact Paula Góes if you have questions.
