I grew up in Russia of the 90s in a provincial city a few hours northeast of Moscow. Mid-way through my undergraduate studies I secured a scholarship to spend an academic year in the US where I majored in International Relations. Post-graduation I moved to Shanghai and spent a total of nearly 7 years studying and working in China.
