Marina Khonina (they/them) is a language consultant, translator, and researcher. Marina’s work focuses on human rights, health, and gender with an emphasis on social justice, language equity and inclusion. They are a former Lingua Project Manager at Global Voices and have worked with non-profits to manage volunteer translators, built strategic partnerships, and promote language diversity and information access. Marina has worked as a translator and interpreter since 2001 and is fluent in English and Russian, with professional working proficiency in French. They have also studied Ukrainian, Turkish, Ancient and Modern Greek, and Japanese.
