Joey Ayoub was the MENA Editor at Global Voices (2016-2019) as well as a researcher and writer currently living in Geneva, Switzerland. He is the founder of the ‘Hummus For Thought’ blog and mostly writes on Syria, Israel-Palestine, and Lebanon. He also hosts a podcast called The Fire These Times (thefirethisti.me).
He has a BS in Environmental Health from the American University of Beirut, an MA in Cultural Studies from SOAS, University of London and is currently doing a PhD in Cultural Analysis at the University of Zurich.
