Francisca Ankrah is the Projects and Development Officer at Egna Lagna, an organization of community-based, feminist activists working on issues that migrant women domestic workers from the global south face in the Middle East, with a focus on Lebanon and Ethiopia. Francisca's academic and professional expertise is in human rights, international law, and public policy, specifically on issues related to migration, refugees and asylum seekers, and fair trial rights in Lebanon. Her understanding of the local context is also informed by her personal experience as a former migrant in Lebanon, whose parents were domestic workers themselves.
