Firas Abdullah is a 24 year old Syrian freelance photojournalist, based in Douma city (Eastern Ghouta), Damascus countryside, Syria.
I graduated from the high-school of Douma city in 2012 and started studying electrical engineering at Damascus University, which I could not complete because of the bad security situation there.
I registered in Aleppo university in English Literature in 2016, and now I’m in the 2nd grade.
I’ve been covering the events in Eastern Ghouta for 5 years. I have contributed to The Guardian, The Middle East Monitor, Deutsche Welle and other media platforms.
