Artem Chekh is from Kyiv, Ukraine. He is a writer, an author of more than ten fiction and non-fiction books, including the renowned “Absolute Zero,” “District D,” and “Who Are You?” In 2015–2016 he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he has been serving in the Ukrainian army once again. Artem is an awardee of the Mykola Gogol Literary Prize (2018), Joseph Konrad Literary Prize (2019), BBC Book of the Year (2021), and others.
