Bahrain: The One Dinar Protest
Protesters in Bahrain are gathering outside the Bahrain Financial Harbour (BFH), waving one Bahraini dinar (US$ 2.6) notes and chanting for the overthrow of the government. The protest comes days after a purchase agreement which shows that Bahrain's Prime Minister bought the land the BFH was built on for one dinar was shown at a rally held in Pearl (Lulu) Roundabout, the epicentre of anti-government protests since February 14, 2011.
Egypt: The Day the Secrets Were Revealed (Videos)
After the Egyptians succeeded in toppling Hosni Mubarak - they set their goal on cutting the hydra's tentacles. A full-waged war started last night against the dreaded State Security apparatus, known as Amn Dawla in Arabic, after news was filtered that this notorious organisation was burning and shredding dossiers and documents. Protesters stormed into the centres, to reveal secrets hidden within their walls.
Libya: High Hopes for the Friday of Liberation
It's already Friday in Libya, and emotions are running high, as more protests are planned after Friday prayers in the capital Tripoli to oust dictator Muammar Al Gaddafi. Libyans are calling Friday's protests as the Friday of Liberation, in the hope that it will see the end of Gaddafi's regime. Both Tunisia's Zein El Abideen Ben Ali and Egypt's Hosni Mubarak's reigns ended on Fridays, after popular uprisings.
Yemen: Thousands Protest on Day of Wrath
Thousands of protesters are marching across Yemen, in a Day of Wrath, to condemn Friday's attacks on protests in Aden and call for the end of the Ali Abdullah Saleh regime. A defiant Saleh has meanwhile accused Israel and the US of orchestrating the wave of protests across the region.
