Dominican Republic: Government Provides Incentives for Conservation
The Dominican Republic's Environment Ministry launched a program that would provide compensation to farmers, landowners or communities who take active steps towards conservation and responsible management of the country's natural resources. Some bloggers normally would be skeptical, but see a value in the initiative.
