Watchcut has added Japan to its ongoing video series “100 Years of Beauty,” [1] providing a fascinating look at how beauty trends for women have changed in Japan over the last century.

The series uses a time lapse to track changes in makeup and hairstyles for women across a number of cultures over the past 100 years. Besides Japan, countries covered by the series include Iran [2], Korea [3] and the Philippines [4], among many others.
