Sierra Leone entered a 42-day countdown [1] on 25 August 2015 to being declared Ebola free after the country’s last known Ebola patient, Adama Sankoh, was released from hospital [2].
As of that day, the Ebola outbreak had killed 3,952 [3] in the West African nation [4], according to the World Health Organisation.
