After a recent trip, Spanish Alberto Ortíz de Zárate writes [es] on Administraciones en Red about Open Government in Dominican Republic:
In Dominican Republic, the Ministry of the Presidence has created the General Direction of Ethics and Government Integrity (DIGEIG by its Spanish name), in charge of launching open government policies, with a very clear focus in transparency. This office gives a political direction to the inititatives in its sector and it's complemented with OPTIC, in charge of technological aspects, and is publishing regulatons as interesting as:
- NORTIC A2: Regulation for the creation and management of Dominican government web portals, setting minimal contents of transparency, among other functions.
- NORTIC A3: Regulation about publishing of Domincan government open data, where type, format, license and metadata of data to be released is established.
