Puerto Rico a Hub for Spying on Latin America

The Center of Investigative Journalism of Puerto Rico reported that in a series of classified documents leaked by Edward Snowden, it appears that the U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) and the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) were using a naval base on the island as the center of operations to spy on several Latin American countries, including Brazil, Colombia and Venezuela. This information had already been published in the newspapers O Globo (Brazil), El País (Spain), and The Guardian (UK).
