It’s a story about sex and money, but what catches the attention of many Chinese netizens is the “beyond imagination” gap between the country’s rich and poor.
Offbeat China reports on a bizarre dispute on Sina Weibo between Internet celebrity Guo Meimei and members of Sports Car Club (SCC) about “who is richer” that stemmed from a group sex party.
The SCC members accused Guo of trading sex for money at the party. Guo denied, saying that she is too rich to have to sell herself, and posted a picture of herself with 10 casino chips worth RMB 5 million. In response, two SCC members showed off their bank balances of over RMB 3.7 billion and over RMB 9.9 billion.
