Peru: Attack on Radio Sparks Clashes

A radio station [es] from the city of Iquitos was surrounded by workers of the Regional Loreto Government (GOREL, for its initials in Spanish) who were protesting against a radio journalist who had called them corrupt. The journalist in turn called for a counter protest, sparking clashes. A recent investigative report [es] revealed irregularities in agricultural loans extended by the GOREL.
