While some opposition politicians in Tajikistan accuse [ru] the Soviet KGB of starting the country's civil war (1992-1997), Blog Avestiyca suggests [ru] it is time for the people of Tajikistan to stop blaming ‘foreign’ enemies and to admit their own role in starting the violence:
Unless ALL the sides [that fought against each other in the 1990s] admit their fault and say, “Yes, we did kill, we did start the conflict,” the civil war will continue…
It looks like we are ashamed of admitting that we are all to blame for the bloodshed.
