Turkmenistan: What Do Tourists Want?

The government of Turkmenistan is investing [ru] heavily in tourism infrastructure on the country's Caspian Sea shore. But blogger Ruslan T. explains [ru] that lavish hotels and seaside resorts are not what the rare tourists visiting Turkmenistan want:

Tourists coming to Turkmenistan do not seek five-star hotels and casinos; they do not travel to exotic countries for something which they can easily find close to home. They are interested in the local [customs and traditions], antiquities, and the Silk Road.

Its true – and almost same case applies with tourists who visit Kenya. As the manager of a tour operator in Kenya, most potential tourists who visit our website http://www.edantsafaris.com want the local Masai culture showcase, simple safari packages where they can just get away from the noise in their normal life.
