Japan's Indigenous Ainu Head to New Zealand

Ainu, the indigenous people of Northern Japan seek cultural exchange with Māori, the indigenous people of New Zealand.

Aotearoa-Ainumosir Exchange Program, will send 7 Ainu youth to study from Maori people who have successfully revitalized their rights as indigenous people while living with strength in the society of New Zealand. More about the program can be found on Facebook and their fundraising campaign on indiegogo.

Our work building bridges across cultures, languages and perspectives is more urgent than ever before.
