The Lagos State Education Commissioner has announced that Mandarin – a Chinese language – will be introduced into the curriculum of public schools:
“The knowledge of Chinese language will help students further their studies in China and carry out research in various fields of human endeavour as China has become a success story in the world economy,” she said. Lagos is the first Nigerian state to adopt the Chinese language as a curriculum in public schools.

China has become the new destination for economic growth and technological development, fine but China is also the World´s largest English Language speaking country. Most Lagos schools lack education enabling materials including tables and chairs and teachers, now the government introduces Madarin. The use of English in Nigeria is almost none recognisable yet the most important state decides to teach Mandarin. Education is important but constancy of purpose is x. China wants to be Nigeria’s “savior”
That will mean traders in Canton will already be prepared with language skills when they arrive. They should have this for South American traders as well.
This means both Whiteys Germany and Japan are cut out of being the middle man for Chinese goods and Chinese culture. AFRICA!!!!!!!
