Syria: Netizens Say Countdown for Bashar Begins

Twitter is abuzz with news of the beginning of the end of the Assad regime, following a bomb explosion in Damascus in which three senior members of president Bashar Al Assad's inner circle were killed.

CNN's Arwa Damon reports:

Emirati pundit Sultan Al Qassemi notes:

Syrian blogger Yazan Badran is suspicious:

@yazanbadran: Something strange is going on. Is a solution finally being implemented? ‪#Syria‬ Either way, may they never rest in peace.

Syrian The 47th needs evidence:

@The47th: Just a question, anyone actually heard that specific explosion in Damas? friend I called in Rawda said he heard nothing.

BBC's Lina Sinjab tweets:

@BBCLinaSinjab: Residents very close 2 building said they haven't heard any sound of explosion or gunfire, haven't seen insured being removed either ‪#Syria

adding:
