Women2Drive group launched a campaign in Saudi Arabia, via a Facebook page [1] and a hasthag on Twitter [2] [en and ar], to encourage and prod women to follow the example of Najla Hariri [3]and [en] and Manal Al Charif [4][en] and defy the laws by driving on June 17th. Manal, one of the event initiators, was arrested by local police for having trespassed the rules and driving her car in Khobar, in the in the Eastern part of the country.
