Syria: Homs Protests Attract Thousands (Video)

Despite the security crackdown, protests are continuing in Syria, with countless of videos surfacing online showing thousands of protesters calling for the overthrow of the Assad regime. Here is a selection of videos from Homs.

On YouTube, Day of Rage TV has uploaded over 50 videos of the protests across Syria for far. The user posts this video from Homs, saying that thousands of people gathered there on April 18, 2011. They are saying the all too familiar chant [ar]: “The people want to overthrow the regime.”

This video, by the same user, shows the beginning of a funeral procession, for one of those who have lost their lives in the protests, also from the same day:

Videos showing thousands of protesters praying have also been posted. This video shows part of the Asr (afternoon) prayers:
