India: Billions Celebrate Cricket World Cup Victory

On Saturday, 2nd April 2011, India's men in blue created history in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium when they beat Sri Lanka by six wickets to triumphantly lift the cricket World Cup trophy. No sooner had the Indian skipper hit the last decisive sixer, Indians, both at home and abroad, broke out into celebrations with gusto, savouring every bit of this long-awaited, much-prayed-for victory.
