Why does President Kabila want to change the constitution in the Democratic Republic of Congo?: “President Kabila has long said that he wanted to change the way representatives are elected. In particular, he and his associates have complained that it is difficult to push through the necessary reforms with 70 different political parties in the national assembly alone, which has resulted in endless horse-trading and bribery.”
