Russia: Bloggers Create Alternative Website to Discuss Police Reform
In addition to the official website to discuss police reform [RUS], bloggers had created an alternative one [RUS]. After proposing and discussing the amendments (the list with the illustrations here [RUS]) to the police reform draft bill, the bloggers managed to promote them to #1 position [RUS] in the official site's rating.
Russia: Cyrillic Domain Reveal Putin's Plans for 2012
Federal Security Service (FSO) had registered more Cyrillic domains than any other company in the country (including “блог.рф” (“blog.rf”) and “письма.рф” (“letters.rf”), see full list), Vedomosti.ru reported [RUS]. Lenta.ru adds that FSO also registered “Путин2012.рф” and “Путин-2012.рф” (“Putin-2012.rf”). Blogger wunder_bar suggests [RUS] the domains reveal Vladimir Putin's plan to re-elect in 2012.
China: Fishing boat captain detained, protests planned
More than a week after a Chinese fishing boat collided with Japanese Coast Guard patrol boats in territory disputed by governments of those two countries and the Chinese captain was detained, anger in China shows little sign of abating soon, and a number of protests are planned for this weekend.
Colombia: The Case of J.J. Rendón, ‘he who can't be named’
Tomáz Garzía, a Colombian blogger and cartoonist, revealed through his blog that he had received an email from the legal representative of controversial Venezuelan Juan José Rendón, demanding that he erase the content where he refers to Rendón's participation in the recent Colombian presidential elections. Twitter users and bloggers have reacted to the email, emphasizing the right to freedom of speech.

South Korea: The Family Reunion Deal May Lower the Inter-Korean Tension.
A South Korean Red Cross delegation departed to North Korea today to discuss the reunions of families separated by the Korean War ,South Korea’s Yonhap reported. It was a rare suggestion made by North Korea and some experts read this as a sign of improvement on InterKorean relationship.
