The thirty years of failed democratic process in Zimbabwe has once again attracted global attention as the political situation in the country is on the verge of extinction.I believe it is high time the international community prevail on president Robbert Mugabe to re-sign from office and allow prime minister Morgan Tsvangirai to pilot the affairs of the furstrated and perilous nation. However,it is also incumbent on Africa Union(AU) and Southern Africa Commission(SAC)to liaise and broker peace in Zimbabwe between the political elites and the incumbent despotic ruler Mugabe. The cooperation between those two organisation will assist the country to establish a common ground towards democratization and a liberal welfarist society.Political Science Department of the University of Ado-Ekiti.
