Govt is working hard to restore flood IDPs. Govt has vast experience of restoration of IDPs as govt has restored earth quake victims, then Swat operation IDPs. Now govt will restore every flood IDP without hurting him mentaly, morally and physically. All this job will be done with extreme dignity, respect and transparent manners (sorry for kidding but that is what shown on national media).
To know the real situation, one has to watch private channels but even then thirst remains. To know about the exact condition of flood victims, a physical presence is essential specially in rural areas of Sindh. Situation is even more worse than that is shown on media channels both national and private. After internal displacement of 300000 persons to Thatha city and neighbours, Sindh govt banned other people evacuation. The remaining number of victims are suffering from hunger, thirst, medicines and moral care in rural areas of Thatha and neighbour regions. They are subjected to live in water because of the govt sanction on the further movement of IDPs. Million of people face shortage of drinking water, food, clothes and tents. Bedding is also another big issue they face. Most of the people live in mud and on wet floors. One can witness million years B.C age in rural areas of Thatha and Sindh. People have to drink same water of flood in which dead bodies float, children take birth and clean, hands wash, take bathes and live and this is all because of a huge shortage of drinking water. Almost in all areas victims have been facing shortage of drinking water, food and dry clothes since since flood ruined them. Their first demand is drinking water, and then ask for food. In some areas, thirst and hunger of weeks made them intolerant and brutal that they may take one’s life if one fails to deliver soon what one has in hands for them. These are the areas that need media’s coverage and aid. Hundred of villages that no man has visited yet, need national and international attention. Children and elders are suffering from various diseases need medicines and medics. Many of them have wounds full of pus on different parts of their bodies. An urgent medical care on emergency bases is required. Dead bodies of human and animal spreaded every where need urgent burial otherwise may spread more diseases in the region. Rain and storm increases difficulties for NGO’s and volunteers workers. Without the use of an engineered and safe system, NGOs will not succeed in saving human’s life in Thatha and other parts of country. Anti bacteria air spray is essential in all flood affected areas of Pakistan. Although this is not a human fault but we can not leave them alone. This is no doubt a test of our moral immortality from Almighty Allah, sorry not only ours but of course of all mankind living all over the world.
In such heart cracking condition govt does not inhale sense, and politicizing the situation and treat people on favorism for money making. One can see big ratio of corruption in distribution of govt aid specially in mid night when people sleep. Low level workers have started stealing items from govt storage with the help of their colleagues on night duties and sell them on stores in morning. At day time, people who stand in queue are awaited till sunset without giving them a nut but tortured with sticks, boots and punches by internationally immoral certified Sindh Police. No one can see a word of respect for humanity from govt. No politician or public servant is present but in camps on main roads for photo sessions only. Flood victims who live in tents are not more than 40 percent of the total. Shortage of tents is also one the big problems. A single tent is used as a shelter, bedroom, washroom, labour room and even a toilet.
Aid that is available with NGOs needs a large number of volunteers for distribution in rural areas. NGO’s are working hard and need manpower for distribution of food and ration among the victims. Innocent children demand for bread because continues eating of rice made them sick. A good average of victims do not compromise on self respect. They do not take any kind of aid untill offered them in their tents and then reward back with tears of thanks in their eyes and words of prayers on their lips.
Pakistan Army, Navy and Air Force young men with their commanders are working hard parallel to NGO’s both of media and non-media sectors and many officers and men have celebrated their Eid with victims. Many soldiers become emotionally intensed by looking onto the victims and their conditions. We know soldiers courageous and do not afraid even of injury and death but many of them failed to control on their emotions, and their eyes dropped pearls in the shape of tears when talking to children. ARY and Express channel NGO’s are facing shortage of manpower for distribution of ration and clothings. Aid from Iran, UAE, KSA, USA and China (when talking about Thatha region) easily be watched in tent cities. Alas! No one can find a single sign of our own govt but in few places where a politician on his visit for photo session or govt media to pass all ok report. Govt collected four billion rupees in PM fund but failed to deliver a single penny to victims. It is very essential for govt to deliver in those areas where an approach is impossible for NGO’s and public. Passing false statements on different channels of media is not the solution. Here I must tribute the young generation of Karachi Universities and Colleges who show great concerns towards national issues. Any one can see them working from morning to midnight or almost late night continuously with tired but smiling face and eyes full of tears. They work all the day and sleep at night in their vehicles, on roads and floors under tents and maximum times in open air and sky but wake up another day with new courage and energy and start their work with great zeal and zest. No one can find suitable words to appreciate them, believe in me they are really quite ahead of our thinking. Yes God will reward them for their holy act of contribution in Thatha region. One can not control one’s emotions and tears when see flood victims but also can not control one’s tears when sees these guys working like trained worker of NGOs. How courageous these guys are! Really a pride today Pakistan and humans. Young generation from Nowshera, extra ordinary courageous, showed great courage during flood. Each young man saved average of 20 person from the cruel killer waves of Kabul rivers. The country leading journalist Hamid Mir has already tributed those national heroes in golden words.
Coming towards the conclusion, flood ruined human’s lives, properties, forms, pets and business in Pakistan, and need national and international attention. More than 18 million of people are on victim’s list. I wish religious madrassas, Ray e wand Markaz of Tablig, Dawat Islami and Jum’at e Islami to send their students and young man power to help the NGO’s in aid (food, water & tents) distribution among the victims. Although UNO made her efforts but they are too little to rehabilate the IDPs. UNO is requested here to share more load and send her staff members urgently to the rural areas, that are on the both side of Kabul and Indus rivers starting from Charsada to Thatha. All parts of the govt (provincial and federal) of Pakistan, NGOs, and UNO need to handling the situation in a right direction otherwise loss of lives will be in millions.
