Peru: Peruvian Chicken Day

Globalizado informs [es] his readers that July 18 is Peruvian Chicken day (“pollo a la brasa” in Spanish). It is the first time that Peruvians celebrate this day in honor of a dish which the National Institute of Culture considers one of the culinary specialties of Peru. The blogger includes videos of news reports on the new holiday.

  • Pollo a la brasa is actually barbecued chicken, usually over a charcoal fire, and delicious. Other Peruvian chicken dishes is our most famous, Arroz con Pollo, just \Chicken with Rice;\ however, the spices are typically Peruvian and give a special flavor found nowhere else.
