Guyana: Free to Criticize

Diaspora blogger Stella Ramsaroop republishes a column she wrote for a Guyanese newspaper in which she says: “If the people of Guyana want to continue down the road of true democracy, then it is time to tell your government to back off the nation’s free press.”

Racism in Guyana makes everything null and void, what can happen in other countries cannot happen here. In Guyana any rebellion against this government will turn to a race war, in the mean time we continue to be a nation under siege, 28 yrs of the PNC now forever oh the PPP all because their supporters are East Indians and are the majority racial group. Change will come to Guyana but not by democratic means, it will come.
