Categories: Middle East & North Africa, Lebanon, Human Rights, Protest, War & Conflict

Audette spent her last 1,495 days living in a tent in Beirut. She and others who lost their relatives in the civil war were raising awareness about the unknown fate of their children. “But last May she was killed by a speeding car as she crossed the road [1] near her tent. Audette spent the last 25 years searching for news of her children and died no closer to finding it,” writes Nihil Declaro.
