The IslamOnline [1] employees sit-in continues after some achievements. After the situation escalated [2] threatening the striking employees to leave without getting their financial rights from the new administration, things turned to another direction in what seems like the beginning of a victory for the employees [3].
Nadia ElAway [4], an ex-journalist in IOL, tweets from the strike location at the Cairo Bureau:

@NadiaE [5]: Sheikh Qaradawy freezes 2 #islamonline [6] Qatari board members and their recent decisions (im at #iol [7] & heard announcement)

Mohammed [8] who is also a former IOL employee and who is following the strike closely, tweets:

@MohammedY [9]: Not sure yet what the latest updated on #IslamOnline [10] crisis means exactly, but it seems to be a victory for the protesting employees! #IOL [11]

Mohammed Ghafari [12], who is one of those responsible for live-tweeting and live-streaming the strike, explains the goal of continuing the strike:

@Ghafari [13]: اعتصام موظفي اسلام اون لاين مستمر حتى تمكينهم من اداء عملهم الصحفي واعادة التحكم في المواقع الى مكتب القاهرة مجددا #IOL [11] #IslamOnline [10]

The IslamOnline workers’ strike is still there till they are fully in control of their work plus retaining the Cairo Bureau administrator access to the website again.

Ahmed AbdelFattah [14] mentions the names of the sacked board members, previously mentioned by Nadia [5]:

@Ahmedikhwan [15]: عاجل : الشيخ يوسف القرضاوي يقيل العمادي والانصاري بعد ضغوط من اعضاء مجلس الادارة الذين اتهموهم بهدم موقع اسلام أون لاين

@Ahmedikhwan [15]: Breaking: Sheikh Youssef ElQaradawy [16] sacked ElEmady (General Manager) and ElAnsary (VP) after pressure from board members who accused them of taking the IslamOnline website down.

And he mentions that no decisions have been taken yet regarding the employees on strike directly:

@Ahmedikhwan [15]: ولايزال الاعتصام مستمر لانه لا توجد حتي الان قرارات تتعلق بالعاملين #islamonline [6] #iol [17]

@Ahmedikhwan [18]: And the sit-in continues because nothing is done yet regarding the workers’ rights. #IslamOnline [6] #IOL [17]

Ahmed also uploaded many photos of the strike on his Flickr account [19]:

The strikers created a Youtube channel [21] and a blog with the name IslamOnline Voice [22] to centralize their updates.

Here is the video of the third day of the strike:

The strikers made the following video expressed as a spoken protest to the potential restructuring of IslamOnline that would result in an ultra conservative model alienating the vast majority of 120,000 daily visitors.
