I only hope that the Nityananda ashram / mutt / society does even more to answer the media messages / media questions sweeping the Tamil countryside

I think that it is high time that the traditional belief, nay, conviction that spiritual gurus should be celibate (like the Catholic clergy men and women) is given a decent burial all over the world and they are allowed to marry and maintain a family to meet their physical and emotional needs just like ordinary human beings apart from their quest for their own and others’ ‘spiritual well-being’ or ‘salvation’, whatever that stands for. In my opinion, much of the ‘sex scandals’ and the associated, often intense, ‘disillusionment’ of followers can be avoided thereby.

You are upset because this news affects Indian Hindus. But it is not new for US Christians either. Do you remember several Catholic priests sex scandals in US? Recently Ireland churches are facing the similar issues.
I am still trying to separate facts from fiction. I would like to get at least confirmation that video tapes were real. In the current digital media it is possible to fake it.
I never knew about this young swami Nithyananda. Who is his guru? where did he attained his spiritual mastery? Is he real master or just is he pretending?
