It’s not the first-ever condom dispensing machine. There was a similar one on Nalbandyan Avenue near Sakharov Square that has since been removed. I took those photos that are on the Unzipped blog and I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s not the only condom dispensing machine in downtown Yerevan ;)
Adrineh, I didn’t write that it was. Based on Unzipped’s blog post which doesn’t mention any others and make it sound like a unique addition I said “could be.”
Meanwhile, I haven’t seen any and there are none around any of the main bars I frequent (5 within a minute’s walk of each other).
Unfortunately, I doubt there are many at all. And in full view of the public, I’m not sure many people will be using them.
As I wrote on Mika’s blog, shouldn’t they actually be in discos, bars, cafes etc?
