Azerbaijan: Demonstrations in London and Paris for imprisoned video blogging youth activists

hands_off_demoOn the same day that an appeal court hearing for imprisoned blogging youth activists Adnan Hajizade [1] and Emin Milli [2] was adjourned, but this time at the request of the defense, supporters of the two men protested outside the Embassies of Azerbaijan in London and Paris [3]. The demonstration in France was jointly arranged with Reporters Without Borders [4] while social media guru Dan McQuillan [5] was at the London demo.

The Presidency of the European Union [7], Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe [8] (PACE), Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe [9] (OSCE), Human Rights Watch [10] and Reporters Without Borders [11] have condemned the verdict. Amnesty International has declared both men to be prisoners of conscience [12].
