Venezuela: Government Intervention of Banks is Parodied

Political humor blog El chiguire bipolar (The bipolar capybara) mocks the Government of Venezuela [es] after intervening four banks of the country: from now on, author parodies, Bancolchón [Mattress Bank] will manage public money, as customers can carry out cash withdrawals, make national and international transfers and “keep a glass of wine from tipping over while a bear makes itself comfortable beside it”.

“after intervening four of the most important banks of the country”?!!!
BanPro, Canarias, Confederado and Bolívar Banco are not the most important banks in Venezuela, not even in a middle rank, they hold 10% of the money’s mass of the Venezuelan bank system.

I wonder if all jokes starting with a lie instead of a fact, are they better jokes?

  • Yuca, thanks for the correction. It was an edition mistake; the blogger did not make that comment.
