Fifty one percent of young Russians (ages 16 – 24) consider the Internet a reliable source of information. This makes the Internet the second most trustworthy source after TV among the youth. This and other findings are available in a newly published report [RUS] by the Public Opinion Foundation.

It is interesting in that Russia and a few Eastern European registrars are literally at the center of deception and crime on the Internet. The number of Russian registered sites that mask themselves as legit businesses in the US and Canada (including BBB badges, etc) and simply exist to steal credit card numbers is ridiculous. We found this out when researching legal actions when one of our law and compliance sites was hacked.
