Nigeria: The Okocha debate is unnecessary

Should the former member of Nigerian national team, Austin Okocha return to the team? “I can't believe we are actually having a nationwide debate on the merits or otherwise of having former skipper Austin Okocha return to the Super Eagles!”

yes okocha is a hero but nigerians dont need hem now.

  • It is quite unfurtunate.
There is no doubt about Okocha’s heroism on the pitch of football, however he deserves rest. If there are patriotic Nigerians, he is one.
talking about bringing him back to the active game in Super Eagle is a clear picture of a downright state of confussion in the system.
What Supper Eagle need is a vissionary and transformational leader, who can fish out many young talented ‘Okochas’ across Nigeria.
And get them intigrated as a team. To me there is no team in Supper Eagle. Okocha cannot asume a team.
