I have seen the English language decline in sri lanka since the utter foolish move of SWRD bandaranaike.
I’am a teacher in acomprehesive school in uk and has seen sri lankan pupils both tamil and sinhalese unable to converse and study in English. But thanks to the change of policy from the present president bringing in an English stream in popular schools it is improving. Let’s get our teachers proficient in English with the study of English literature to improve English.
