Peru: The “Sport” of Dog Poisoning

Barbara Drake, an ex-pat from the United States, who writes at the blog An American in Lima posts about the risks a dog faces by simply the fact of living in the Peruvian capital city. Her post is titled The Sport of Dog Poisoning in Peru and there she tells us about her own experience with her pet being poisoned after playing in a public garden.

  • i hate people who poison dogs!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Dear All,

This is so sad, but these practices and views must be brought to light, and I appreciate Barbara doing so, which must have been very painful.

I’m wondering what we can do, as individuals, groups, as bloggers? A discussion could be so helpful, as otherwise we are left feeling angry and frustrated, without a way to address the situation more pro-actively.

With all best wishes, and here’s to a better world for all beings! Janet
